It's all go......

Well, my notice has been handed in and I finish work on the 31st of March. I was asked if I could stay a little longer - until the end of June - but as the contract was always supposed to finish at the end of March, that was the day we have been working to, and it was just too complicated to start altering our plans.

The flights have been booked - one way tickets flying on the 30th of April.

The removals firm have also been booked, and are coming to pack us all up on the 15th and 16th of April. This one did take some organising as we couldn't agree on what we were taking. At one point Daz did think it was quite alright to start our new life with just what we could fit in a suitcase each, and his three guitars. Nothing else of mine you notice, just his three guitars. There was some 'discussion' about that......

Mum, Dad and I have booked a week away in Northumberland from the 17th of April for a good week of bonding before I disappear.

And Emma's ticket has also been booked - she's flying out to visit us for 4 weeks during the summer holidays.

So, it really is all go. Lots of sorting out and ridding out of what isn't coming with us. Lots of trying to book things into the calendar so that we make sure we get around to see everyone before we go.

Lots of decisions, lots of excitement, lots of fear, lots of panic, and more than a few tears (me that is, not Daz!).

There seems so much to do a so little time left to do it in. So, I'd better get on with some of it!
